A little while after our USA-roadtrip last summer, I wrote a recap about ‘contributing’. If you haven’t read that story yet, I recommend that you do because you might not be able to make any sense of this post if you don’t.
In short, it was about how sometimes I felt like I was not contributing much to the world with ‘just making pretty things’.
But I also told you about Myla, her alpaca ranch and how she made me feel a little different about that. Today, I want to write a sequel to that story because a little while ago, something amazing happened. Click through to find out more.
I guess everyone here knows by now that I am very proud to be a new member of the lovely Team Confetti. But after being introduced on the Team Confetti blog, writing my first guest-post and being in a Whatsapp-group that’s never silent, it was time for an actual meeting. I don’t know about you, but although january has been a pretty awesome month for me so far, I must say I’m kind of done with winter by now. The short, dark days. The cold, the rain. Move over winter and let spring in. To get in the mood for sunnier days, I’ve assembled a little summery Inspiration Monday for you all to enjoy. So let’s spread the inspirational sunshine and make way for spring.
In the last edition of Biz Babble, I talked to you about how to stay inspired. It’s sometimes hard to stay inspired when the creative part of your brain always has to stay up to speed for several projects at a time. But although sometimes you can’t find inspiration no matter where you look, there are also times when you have too many ideas and just too little time. Today I will be talking about how I handle this luxury problem, so read on for some advice!
A little while ago I met Yvonne at a housewarming party. We started talking about how she and her boyfriend were moving house and about my illustrations. One thing led to another and a few weeks later, I got an e-mail from Yvonne asking if I could make her some llama pillowcases for their new sofa. Uuuh…YEAH! Click through to see how they turned out:
I’m so excited for today you guys! Because today is the day my first guest-post for Team Confetti is published. And since on the Team Confetti blog it’s only published in Dutch, I thought I’d repost it here in English (and Dutch too for that matter) to make it available for all of my readers. Click through to enjoy this post on how I work.
Earlier this month, Pantone announced the colour of the year of 2015, which is the colour ‘Marsala': a deep brownish-red. I always really enjoy the announcement of the colour of the year, because for me, it marks the start of something new. Which is why I want to dedicate today’s Inspiration Monday to this colour of the year, so enjoy a Marsala-themed Inspiration Monday you guys!
Although a lot of people consider January one of the most awful months of the year, I must say that this particular case of January is one of the busiest ever for me. Lots of exciting things are about to happen and behind the scenes I’ve been working hard on lots of new projects. So I thought today I’d share what I am up to right now besides blogging. I promised you this monday that I would be announcing something pretty awesome on this blog. And when I told you about my blog plans last week I was talking about collaborating more. Well, today is the day I will tell you more about this. Click through to find out all about it!

I’ve got a big deadline coming up, and I will be announcing something pretty special this week, so stay tuned for exciting things to come. But first, let’s get the week started with some inspiration!
